This is a situation which has been dealt with superbly by Man United, the stewards involved and the police who have dealt with it swiftly.
It sounds like an awful situation may well have been avoided at Old Trafford today thanks to whoever found the package and pointed it out to stewards. Crowd safety is the most important thing at any football game and today’s worrying situation has shown exactly why there is such a heavy presence at Premier League grounds these days.
The latest on the game between United and Bournemouth from the Premier League is that it will go ahead as soon as is practically possible. With our game against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup coming up on Saturday, I’m not sure when that will be.
