Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Danny Blind is frustrated he had to leave Timothy Fosu-Mensah out of the recent Netherlands squad for their upcoming friendlies but said he had no choice due to his injury. Fosu-Mensah, 18, received his first call-up to the preliminary squad and was set to earn a place in the final shortlist but as he isn’t 100 percent fit, Blind had no choice but to leave him out.

Manchester United officials are fearful the club may miss out on signing Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang due to the player’s concerns over Louis van Gaal, according to Mail Online. Van Gaal has been heavily criticised for a dull style of football at Man United this season and there are concerns within the Old Trafford hierarchy that the Dutchman’s playing style will put off their top transfer targets.

Sky Sports pundit Niall Quinn firmly believes Man United have lost their ‘fear factor’ under van Gaal this season. United developed a fearsome reputation under Sir Alex Ferguson in years gone by and they famously often won games from losing positions.

Paris Saint-Germain have not contacted Anthony Martial about a potential transfer, according to RMC journalist Pierre Menes. The Frenchman’s form has reportedly attracted interest from his homeland, with PSG said to be among those interested in his signature. But Menes, answering a fan’s question on Twitter, denied that there had been contact between PSG and United.
