Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has urged Jose Mourinho to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United.
Mourinho was officially confirmed as Louis van Gaal‘s successor on Friday after three day talks with Old Trafford officials.
Ibrahimovic is out of a contract with Paris Saint-Germain and will be leaving after a spectacular four-year stay with the French champions.
Speaking about Ibrahimovic, Henry insists the Swedish international will be a big success at Man United.
“It would be a no-brainer to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” he said.
“When he goes on the field, he’s an animal but out of it he’s a class act and so professional.
“He’d be a big success for Manchester United.”
Despite criticism over his age, Ibrahimovic has enjoyed an incredible season with PSG, he managed to score 50 goals across all competitions in his final campaign in France to help PSG lift the league title for the fourth time in a row.
Ibrahimovic has an incredible bond with Mourinho and admitted in a recent interview he had talked with Mourinho everyday since he left Inter Milan. During his year at the club Inter claimed the 2008-09 Serie A title and Ibrahimovic finished as the league’s top scorer with 25 goals.
The Swedish striker is expected to team up with Mourinho at Old Trafford and now the Portuguese boss has been officially confirmed, there’s only one piece of the puzzle left to complete.
