Zlatan Ibrahimovic to undergo Manchester United medical after Euro 2016

Manchester United are arranging a medical for Zlatan Ibrahimovic after agreeing personal terms with the striker, according to Sky Sports News.

Ibrahimovic will put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Man United when he completes the medical, which will take place after Euro 2016.

Both parties are said to be relaxed about the situation. Ed Woodward has been negotiating with Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, in recent weeks – the talks took longer than expected, meaning a deal couldn’t be finalised before the Euros.

Ibrahimovic, who helped Sweden earn a 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland in their opening fixture of the tournament this week, is reportedly in excellent physical condition and the medical is expected to be a formality.

It is a hugely exciting time to be a United supporter, with Ibrahimovic set to be one of a number of arrivals at Old Trafford this summer.

Jose Mourinho is working on building a squad which will be capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season and Ibrahimovic will be a key figure.
