Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already signed a Manchester United contract at his pre-Euro 2016 training camp in Sweden, according to Tancredi Palmeri. He was widely expected to become Jose Mourinho’s first signing at Man United but speculation has cooled since then with the signing of Eric Bailly and the Swede confirming his retirement from international football.

Man United are leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. Dortmund allegedly turned down a £19m offer for the Armenian midfielder last week but his agent Mino Raiola insists the Armenian international is desperate to sign for Man United and has always dreamed of playing at Old Trafford.

Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta insists the club have not received any offers for Paul Pogba this summer. The 23-year-old has been in incredible form and attracted interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid allegedly leading the race for his signature.

Breel Embolo has turned down the chance to join Man United and will instead move to Schalke 04. Di Marzio says the unveiling of Schalke’s new coach Markus Weinzierl, along with new sporting director Christian Heidel, coincides with news that Embolo has opted to move to Germany as opposed to the Premier League.
