Andre Schurrle: Mourinho is demanding and will fall out with Man United players

by Tanveer Arayan

Andre Schurrle believes Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a very demanding coach to play underneath.

Former Chelsea forward Schurrle was shipped out of Stamford Bridge by the Portuguese boss, who sold him to Wolfsburg for £22m in February 2015.

Mourinho has already signed Villarreal defender Eric Bailly for £30m and is allegedly closing in on the deals of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the German international insists he’ll being in plenty of new players and will end up falling out with anyone who goes against him.

“It’s difficult. He expects a lot of his players,” he said.

“He will probably buy a lot players that suit him and how he wants to play and we will see how they get on.

“If you do what he wants and play well, it’s easy. But sometimes he wants a lot of you and it’s difficult. He is a very demanding manager.”

But despite his demanding management style, Schurrle insists United will soon be back in the hunt for trophies under his guidance.

“I think it’s good for Manchester United. He’s a good manager and he knows how to win things. I think he will do well at Manchester United.

“He did well at Chelsea when he was there and the team was a mirror image of the manager. He’s a winner and he knows how to win.”

We all know his history at Real Madrid and how he was sacked at Chelsea after reports suggested he fell out with players but he has everything in place to be a success at Old Trafford.

The club didn’t have many options left after Manchester City signed Pep Guardiola, but Mourinho has won silverware at every club he’s managed and is the perfect manager to get us back to our former glory days.

We’ll have to wait and see how his reign at Old Trafford plays out but his proposed signings will plug major holes in our team and I’m sure fans are excited to see him in action next season.
