England were knocked out of Euro 2016 after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Iceland on Monday night, but fans were delighted with Marcus Rashford‘s delightful substitute impact.

Roy Hodgson finally brought Rashford on in the 86th minute as a last role of the dice and he managed to do more than all of England’s attacking force did throughout the 90 minutes.

The youngster came out and played with urgency, he managed to dribble past three Iceland players, which was more than any other player on the pitch even though he was only playing for seven minutes.

Fans on Twitter were very pleased with his performance and were left asking why he wasn’t on the pitch earlier.

Rashford looked extremely comfortable when he came on for England, he was trying to create a moment of magic and although he wasn’t able to get himself a goal, he put the rest of England’s first-team players to shame.

Man United fans were aware of Rashford’s potential but on Monday night he showed England fans what he was capable of and they were furious he wasn’t brought on earlier.

He’s continuously knocked down all expectations of himself and I can’t wait to see him in action under new boss Jose Mourinho after his spectacular debut season at Old Trafford.
