Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Jose Mourinho has accidentally confirmed Manchester United have signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan. When asked in his first press conference about what new players he still wanted to bring to Old Trafford, the Portuguese boss accidentally said three players had already been made official before being corrected by United’s press officer, much to the delight of the reporters.

Mexican striker Hirving Lozano has admitted he is excited by the thought of playing at Old Trafford and says he will do his utmost to push through a move. The 20-year-old is on Man United’s radar having been scouted by Mourinho’s staff over the summer and his father-in-law has gone as far as to say he’s joining United after the Olympics this summer in Brazil.

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola believes the Frenchman may be better suited by a return to Untied than a move to Real Madrid, according to Guardian. Mourinho has been keen on bringing Mourinho back to Old Trafford and may be willing to meet his £250,000 a week wage demands.

Ryan Giggs has backed Mourinho as one of the world’s best managers following his appointment at United. He will also be hiring long-term assistant manager Rui Faria and after rejecting the club’s demoted role Giggs decided to leave Old Trafford to pursue his management career.
