Reports in France suggest PSG physio Dario Fort is on the brink of moving to Manchester United with Zlatan Ibrahimovic keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in supreme physical condition and this can be considered a fact given the news he broke power records during his medical with Man United.

At 34 years of age, however, he needs all the looking after he can get and assuming he feels comfortable with Fort and the physio knows his body then this would work for United’s goal of keeping Ibrahimovic for a year or two to score goals and tutor the youngsters on the panel. Fort was brought to PSG by Ibrahimovic and the pair clearly have a close relationship.

The longest the Swede has spent out injured during his career is a 46 day spell in 2014-15 season and he prepares so well that injuries and fatigue are not left to chance.

Following news of Louis van Gaal‘s dismissal, reports suggested that there was a poor atmosphere in United’s dressing room for a prolonged period of time and this is simply something Mourinho can not afford to have happen during his spell.

He has moved quickly to let everyone know who is boss and this is evident in Ryan Giggs’ departure from the club. Van Gaal’s term may have suffered from something called Cuckoo’s Nest syndrome where there were too many people with too many connections saying too much around the dressing room and Old Trafford.

Mourinho must ensure he has everyone’s trust and loyalty and that the players feel confident and comfortable with the set-up from the start of pre-season.

While you can’t keep everyone happy, ensuring that the best is being done for players provided it does not compromise his authority should be one of Mourinho’s key building blocks as the club meets for pre-season training in the coming days.
