Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Bastian Schweinsteiger would not be forced into a decision on his future with Germany but admitted he would have to take a step back and think about it. The Manchester United midfielder started their 2-0 defeat at the hands of France on Thursday night but was only selected due to an injury to Sami Khedira.

Man United have not made an offer for Pachuca striker Hirving Lozano according to their manager Diego Alonso. The Mexican club’s president has previously declared negotiations had begun for the player, but it seems there is a concerted effort to keep the deal under warps until it is closer to an eventuality.

Luke Shaw has given Man United fans an optimistic update on his recovery as he prepares for the pre-season. The Englishman was back in training with the first-team on time as he returns from a double-leg break in the Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven last year.

Paul Pogba has told his French teammates that he wishes to return to Man United, according to L’Equipe. Reports earlier in the week suggested United had already agreed a deal with Pogba for wages worth €13m and that Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, would be meeting with United this week to discuss a deal.
