Ryan Giggs will play in the inaugural Indian Premier Futsal League with Paul Scholes later this month, according to the Daily Mail.
He left Manchester United earlier this month, concluding a record 29-year association with the club, after Jose Mourinho appointed Rui Faria as his assistant manager.
The tournament will take place in eight different cities over the course of nine days.
Other notable participants include Ronaldinho, Deco, Michel Salgado and Hernan Crespo, with more big names set to be announced shortly.
Some time away from the professional side of the game, following a precarious last few months, is perhaps a wise move for Giggs.
However, the Welshman walked away from Old Trafford, his home since the age of 14, for one reason only – to be a manager. Giggs, therefore, will be undoubtedly determined to take charge of his first club soon, whilst at the same time being cautious about making the right decision with regard to his destination.
