Manchester United’s Jimmy Dunne completes move to Burnley

Manchester United’s young defender Jimmy Dunne has completed a free transfer to Burnley.

Jimmy, 18, joined Man United back in 2013 and after three years with the club has decided to venture for pastures new as part of Burnley’s development squad.

Speaking to Burnley’s official website about the move, Dunne said: “This is really positive place to be at the moment so I’m delighted that I’ve got the move sorted for myself.

“Manchester United is a big club who have been good to me since the age of 10 and they have developed me into the player and person I am now.

“It was a hard decision to make to leave but at the same time I’m joining another fantastic Premier League club.

“All the changes that the club are putting in such as the training ground made it an attractive move and the decision was easier because of that.”

Back in 2013, we interviewed Jimmy just before he made his move to United where he was extremely excited but now he’s followed in the footsteps of Michael Keane to Burnley.

He’ll also be keen to emulate Michael’s rise to become one of Burnley’s best players and one of the Championship’s best defenders last year in their promotion chase which ended with them earning a spot in the Premier League this season.

We wish Jimmy the best of luck elsewhere and hope we’ll be seeing him in the Premier League in the future just like we will with Keane this year.
