Adnan Januzaj and new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been pictured working hard together during pre-season training and appear to have struck up a good friendship.
The two were team-mates Borussia Dortmund last season, where Januzaj had an unsuccessful loan spell before returning to Manchester in February.
However, Mkhitaryan’s £26.3m move to Old Trafford this summer means the two have been reunited once again.
They were pictured training together ahead of Man United’s first pre-season match against Wigan on Saturday.
Januzaj struggled to take advantage of playing alongside Mkhitaryan last season, who was in the form of his life, but will be determined to strike up a relationship with the Armenian at United, both on and off the pitch.
The Belgian, who burst on to the scene in emphatic fashion under David Moyes back in October 2013, has struggled to cement himself as a regular at Old Trafford. His limited passing ability and lack of strength resulted in 21-year-old being a fringe player under Louis van Gaal.
His superb technical ability, quick feet and blistering pace, complimented by Mkhitaryan’s vision and attacking verve, could serve him well under Mourinho this season, especially if he decides to place emphasis on counter attacking football.
