Anthony Martial has posted a video of himself working hard on holiday ahead of Manchester United’s pre-season tour.
The 20-year-old is currently on a three week break – as required by FIFA – after being relieved of international duty last Sunday following France’s loss to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final.
He is expected to join up with Mourinho’s Man United squad in China later on ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Frenchman, however, is already preparing for the new season, as shown in a video of himself and his cousin going for a run on the beach.
Above anybody else, it was Martial who managed to inspire hope amongst United fans in an otherwise mundane campaign last year. No matter how low the side sunk, the youngster refused to be dragged down with them. His constantly calm, assured aura and blistering speed on the ball saved United on numerous occasions.
With the introduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan empowering United’s attacking options, Martial will undoubtedly benefit from the added zeal and power to the side’s front line. Many forget his young age (such is his capacity to carry the team like somebody who has been at the club for years) and fail to realise that Martial will only improve, especially with the added attacking zeal around him next season.
I can’t wait to see him in action next season as there is no doubt Mourinho will use him to his full potential.
