Manchester United fans were pleased with Luke Shaw as he finally made his return to football after suffering a double leg fracture in the Champions League clash at PSV Eindhoven last September.
The Englishman had an extremely exciting start to last campaign and looked to be one of Louis van Gaal‘s best players, but his injury limited him to eight appearances last season.
He had been with a club physio at the Aon Training Complex in May and has since been working extremly hard on his rehabilitation to ensure he was fit for Mourinho’s side.
Here’s what fans on Twitter had to say:
Good to see @LukeShaw23 back!

Also, so happy for Luke Shaw, amazing to see the guy out there again, and glad to see that he still has that pace about him.

It’s incredible to see Shaw back in action for United, his injury last season couldn’t have come at a worse time as he played a vital role in Louis van Gaal‘s side.
His outstanding progression has underlined his intent to get fit for Mourinho ahead of the new season and there’s no doubt he’ll play a vital role for the Portuguese boss at Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old is still young and has plenty of time to develop as a player under Mourinho, his overlapping runs were missed as he was left sidelined last season but hopes are his return will also reignite the flame we saw in Memphis Depay early last year.
