Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has plenty of talent after his impressive showing in their 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic.
The Brazilian came on at half time after Mourinho made seven changes at the DW Stadium and he went the perfect way about proving himself to the new boss.
Goals from Will Keane and Pereira gave Man United the perfect start to the pre-season as they prepare for their clash against Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai.
Speaking about his performance, Mourinho clams Pereira posses incredible vision and technique.
“Andreas has lots of talent,” he said. “He has incredible vision and an incredible technique,” said Mourinho.
“That’s just talking about two players but the reality is the kids, without pressure and in a calm environment and not in the fire but in a cool situation for them, were very good.”
Louis van Gaal cancelled his loan move last season but wasn’t able to follow up his promise of more game time and left the youngster extremely frustrated at Old Trafford.
Mourinho understands his talent and his goal underlined his ability to make moments of magic as he fired the ball into the top corner with a spectacular first time shot.
Hopes are there is a place for him on Mourinho’s first-team this season, but a loan move could suit both camps as he definitely deserves to be on the pitch picking up game time.
