Mino Raiola has denounced all reports he was meeting in Manchester with United on Tuesday to finalise a move to Manchester United as ‘bulls**t’.
The colourful agent, who is never short of words when it comes to his clients, has been fuelling speculation over Pogba’s future all summer with comments throughout the transfer window.
With strong reports in Italy on Tuesday morning that he was set to present United’s offer of €100m+ to Juventus for Pogba, there was another from Gazzetta Dello Sport which said he was to be in Manchester to finalise the deal on Tuesday.
However, he’s completely denied this. Speaking to Goal when asked about the meeting with United, Raiola responded: “All of what you read is bulls***.
“That’s all there is.”
Raiola is referring specifically to reports he was going to fly to Manchester to complete the deal, rather than the Pogba to United rumours as a whole. So, there’s no need to panic just yet United fans.
Plus, when it comes to anything Raiola says you have to squint, question it and become a cynic because he’s a man whose built a reputation on dropping red herrings and diversions. After all, he effectively denied the Zlatan Ibrahimovic to United move right up until Zlatan himself announced it so we’ve already experienced it first hand this summer.
With each passing day, the Pogba to United saga gets some more fuel and takes some unnerving twists and either way, I hope it’s resolved sooner rather than later.
