Jose Mourinho insists he may be forced into selling Manchester United players

Jose Mourinho insists he may need to sell and purchase more players on the transfer market for Manchester United this summer.

His side suffered a 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai and after a poor defensive showing Mourinho quickly suggested he could be set to bring in some more talent.

Marcus Rojo and Phil Jones put in a disappointing shift and many fans on social media urged the Portuguese boss to ship them out of Old Trafford.

Speaking about his plans, Mourinho insists he will have to react to certain situations he was not expecting.

“Some times things happen that you’re not expecting and you have to react,” he said.

Rojo has failed to win over fans at Man United and could be on the shipping board after a terrible showing leaving fans furious after he let Dembele through on goal with some clumsy defending.

Jones has had plenty of opportunites at the club but hasn’t been able to keep himself fit and could be set to leave the club as Mourinho continues his overhaul at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese boss has already acquired the services of Eric Bailly in defence and could now be on the market in search of a player to strengthen his back line.
