Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United want to sign “one more midfielder” as Paul Pogba transfer talks continue.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a world record fee move to Old Trafford this summer and a deal could be reached within the coming weeks.

His agent is said to have flown out to Miami to discuss options and a conclude a deal which would see him move to Man United.

Speaking about the transfer, Mourinho insists Man United are only 75% done in the market.

“We are 75% done in the market,” he said.

“When we sign the one midfield player our crucial work in the market will be done.”

He recently admitted he has other alternatives in mind should Juventus hang onto their star asset and after the club’s 4-1 defeat to Borrusia Dortmund he was quick to underline the need for another midfielder.

It’s a staggering amount of money to pay for one player, especially one we already had contracted at Old Trafford, but he is one of the hottest young talents in Europe and would help us contest for titles.

Mourinho has completed the deals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan early this summer and will undoubtedly be looking to sign the Frenchman and end the transfer saga soon.
