Manchester United fans were delighted with Luke Shaw‘s performance during their side’s 4-1 pre-season defeat to Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on Friday night.
The 21-year-old made an emotional comeback last Saturday against Wigan Athletic after being sidelined for 10 months with a broken leg.
In the searing Shanghai heat and humidity, Shaw played the full 90 minutes and displayed an almost inhuman level of energy throughout the contest.
Man United fans were evidently pleased with how well the youngster performed on his first full game since September.
Was pleased with Shaw and Januzaj, Mata didn't put in a bad shift either

Shaw was wonderful. Never backed out of any challenge, for someone that just recovered from broken leg

This match was played under punishing, alien conditions with temperatures rising up to 37 degrees celsius in the Shanghai night. The pitch – spongey, uneven and dry – was something that evidently impacted upon Jose Mourinho’s side and for someone trying to recover full fitness after ten months on the sidelines, such conditions would be almost impossible to play in.
But for Luke Shaw, on only his second appearance since returning from injury, these conditions hardly seemed relevant, such was the way he maintained an incredible level energy and enterprise throughout the game.
The 21-year-old really does possess unique levels of stamina; while his teammates drifted into anonymity, Shaw never stopped fighting for the cause. He will, no doubt, be a vital asset for Mourinho this season.
