Spanish newspaper AS have gone big with their latest story on Paul Pogba and Manchester United by saying a deal is expected to be completed by the middle of next week.
AS’ reports that a personal contract worth €13m per season has been agreed and an announcement is expected on Wednesday or Thursday which will see Pogba become a Man United player once more.
Gianluca di Marzio has said Mino Raiola is remaining with Pogba in Miami until the deal is finalised. For him to be away from the conversations indicates it has nothing to do with personal terms any more, so it’s either discussions about his percentage cut from Pogba’s move or the price itself for the midfielder.
Furthermore, the imminent arrival of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus in a deal worth €94m is believed to be the perfect acceleration for Pogba to United. After all, there is no better way to calm the storm after a big departure than by announcing a big arrival simultaneously.
The moons have been aligning over Pogba’s head for some time now but Higuain’s imminent move to Juventus surely has to be the game-changer, the turning point, the finish of it all. With that transfer, Juventus are effectively spending the Pogba money whether they like to admit it or not and if AS are correct in Spain we’ve only got a few more days until the announcement.
