Juventus set to complete signing of Gonzalo Higuain for €90m

Juventus are set to complete the signing of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain after registering his contract with the Serie A league offices.

Gianluca di Marzio, as well as Mediaset Premium and Sky Italia, all say the same thing – that Juventus will pay Napoli the full €90m release clause built into his contract.

That will make him the most expensive player in history for Juventus and pave the way for Manchester United to complete the signing of Paul Pogba.

Lots has been said and discussed this week about Pogba and his move to United which has stagnated somewhat in the face of hurdles posed by both Juventus and his agent Mino Raiola. Now, the path has been made for Pogba to United following the signing of Higuain.

Juventus might not need to sell Pogba in order to fund the signing of Higuain but everything is falling into place now for the midfielder to move. All the Juventus fans we’ve spoken to believe it is a no brainer to sell Pogba if it means creating a strike-force of Higuain, Dybala, Mandzukic and Gabriel.

We’ve waited a long time for the Pogba deal to be finalised, one way or another, and Juventus signing Higuain is the perfect way to appease fans before announcing Pogba has re-joined Man United in a world record deal.
