Manchester United have seen new signings Eric Bailly and Henrik Mkhitaryan in action and Saturday could be the first time Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulls on the shirt.
It all looks set for Ibrahimovic to take centre stage in his native Sweden with our friendly against Galasaray. The big Swedish strike hasn’t yet made his debut after being given an extended summer break and it seems perfect for him to step out in Stockholm.
This starting XI is a blinder; David de Gea back in goal, Timothy Fosu-Mensah in at right-back with Axel Tuanzebe partnering Eric Bailly in defence. Of course, Ibrahimovic stars up front flanked by Jesse Lingard and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
I’m interested to see how Ibrahimovic plays as a lone striker. He’s considered to be very fit but I’m expecting him to be more of a Dimitar Berbatov type striker than anything else, meaning the onus will be on our No.10 to support the attack as well as our wingers on the overlap.
It’s been great seeing Mkhitaryan and Bailly in action for United but everyone is rubbing their hands together about Ibrahimovic making his debut, here’s hoping it is on Saturday.
