Josh Harrop made headlines after scoring a sumptuous lob for Manchester United’s reserves against Salford City FC last Wednesday night.
Harrop, who was inhibited by injuries last season, joined United as a 16-year-old back in 2012.
The midfield starlet caught the eye of Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Phil Neville with a truly sensational lob on 77 minutes.

To have the audacity to even attempt something so difficult is indicative of a huge amount of conviction, and to pull it off so perfectly is evidence that Harrop has what it takes to play alongside senior members of the squad.
The magnificent chip was far from his only noteworthy contribution. He carried the ball with pace and purpose, picked out teammates in good positions, and scored another excellent goal prior to his lob, expertly curling the ball around the keeper for his first of the evening.
Like so many in Warren Joyce’s side, Harrop has an extremely bright future ahead of him.
