Henrikh Mkhitaryan was delighted with his Old Trafford debut as Manchester United took on Everton in Wayne Rooney‘s testimonial on Wednesday night.

He had a spectacular showing against Wigan Athletic in the pre-season and will be looking forward to making his Premier League debut.

The Armenian midfielder has shown plenty of talent and will undoubtedly play a vital role for Jose Mourinho’s side this season.

He came on in the second-half against Everton at Old Trafford and took to social media after the game to share his happiness.

Fans were underwhelmed with his performance against his former club, Borussia Dortmund and he will be hoping to build on his consistency in England.

Mourinho has recently claimed the 27-year-old’s place in the starting XI isn’t assured and he will have to work hard to cement his place on the side with many attacking options at Mourinho’s disposal.

Should he replicate his form that saw him receive the Bundesliga Player of the Year award last season, he will open up plenty of options for Mourinho at Old Trafford this season.
