Marcos Rojo has no interest in leaving Manchester United this summer, according to Sky Sources.

Reports have claimed the Portuguese boss was keen on cashing in on the Argentinian international as he attempts to re-build his defence, but Rojo has recently turned down a move to the Chinese Super League.

Sky suggest Rojo is determined to have a good season at Old Trafford and prove he can be a good asset for the club after a string of disappointing showings.

The 26-year-old faces stiff competition for a place in Mourinho’s starting XI following the arrival of Villarreal centre-back Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw‘s return to fitness at left-back.

Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Daley Blind are also battling for places in defence, but it is believed Mourinho is still considering investing in more defensive options.

Man United youngsters Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Axel Tuanzebe will also be looking to climb their way up the pecking order and will be hoping for opportunities on the first-team this season.

Rojo has failed to win over fans at Old Trafford since he signed for Man United in 2014 and will have to work hard if he is to impress the Portuguese boss.
