Zlatan Ibrahimovic was delighted to win the Community Shield with Manchester United in their 2-1 victory over Leicester City.
Jesse Lingard gave Jose Mourinho’s side the lead in the first-half and Ibrahimovic helped Man United see out a 2-1 win in order to bring some more silverware back to Old Trafford.
The Swede has won trophies all over the world and will be delighted to start Mourinho’s new era at Old Trafford with another piece of silverware.
Speaking about his first official game, Ibrahimovic insists he is super happy.
“It feels good. My first official game, we play for the trophy and we win,” he said.
“This Community Shield is my 31st trophy and I am super happy.
“There’s something big going on. We’re in the beginning and we have started with a trophy.”
He claimed he was only here to win trophies in his first interview as a Man United player and has not wasted any time in adding to his glowing array of titles.
Ibrahimovic has scored two goals in three games and fans are hoping he’ll be able to replicate his Paris Saint-Germain form in England this year.
He’s still missing the Premier League title from his collection and he’ll undoubtedly be looking to try and get his hands on one during his time at Old Trafford with Mourinho.
