Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been pictured training ahead of Manchester United’s clash with AFC Bournemouth this weekend.

His arrival at Old Trafford in early June kicked up a storm in the football world, with Man United fans – frustrated last season by a lack of goalscoring potency – rejoicing at the arrival of such a renowned goalscorer.

The Swede announced himself to English football in style last Sunday by heading home a late winner in the Community Shield against Leicester City, picking up his 31st piece of silverware.

Ibrahimovic was working hard at Carrington earlier today in preparation for his long-awaited Premier League debut against Eddie Howe’s side.

In his long and illustrious career, Zlatan has emphatically dealt with any form of pressure or scrutiny thrown his way. And so far, the same can be said for his short time at Man United, with rival fans and various critics writing off the 34-year-old for his age and lack of speed.

There have been no signs of nerves or doubt, only the same indestructible aura of omnipotence that has emblematised his career. No 34-year-old footballer is so confident, so convinced in his ability to eviscerate defenders.

In a league thronging with powerful, ruthless defenders, that attitude is a keystone for success.
