Eddie Howe insists his Bournemouth side will need to be aware of threats in every position against Manchester United this weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s squad will face Bournemouth in their opening game of the Premier League and many of his new recruits will be making their debut in England.
The Portuguese boss was appointed in May and has already completed the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba this summer.
Alongside a potential debut for £89m signing Paul Pogba, Ibrahimovic is set to make his long-awaited first league start against the Cherries on Sunday afternoon, live on Sky Sports 1.
“Zlatan is a real talent, it’s great to see him here, but we don’t want to be in awe of him, we want to keep him quiet,” he said.
“You can pick any one in United’s team and they will be a threat, even the full-backs, [Antonio] Valencia and [Luke] Shaw. We are well aware of the test we have. Hopefully we give as good as we get.”
Mourinho has done a brilliant job to plug the gaps on United’s team this summer and we genuinely look like a side capable of contesting for the title.
The Portuguese boss will be looking forward to getting back into work after his reputation took a hit at Chelsea and he finally has everything in place ahead of the new campaign.
The board have done a brilliant job of getting Mourinho’s signings in before his deadline and it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer to see them in action in the Premier League.
