Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford is the future of England.

Rashford quickly burst onto the scene last season at Old Trafford and has gone from a relatively unknown talent to one of the hottest prospects in football.

Jose Mourinho described Ibrahimovic’s arrival as a gift to Rashford in terms of his development and the Swede insists there is plenty of learning for the Englishman to do.

“I see Rashford as a huge talent,” he said.

“I get to see him live every day now and he is the future of England. I got help from many players. I remember I went to Juventus, where all the big stars were.

“I saw the way they were behaving, how professional they were, how they were eating. You study all the same details and start to do the same.

“Then you become one of them.”

He has continued to smash all expectations of himself and hopes are Ibrahimovic’s arrival will help take his career to the next level.

The opportunity to learn from one of the best strikers in the game is not available to anyone, so while it means Rashford may have less first-team game time this year, it should result him developing into a better player.

Rashford looks like the real deal and if there’s one thing Louis van Gaal should be praised for during his time at Old Trafford, it’s unearthing the youngster’s talent for the world to see.
