Paul Pogba insists he is happy to be home after he made his secondManchester United debut in Friday’s 2-0 victory over Southampton.

The Frenchman made his return to the Premier League and played the full 90 minutes as Jose Mourinho’s side claimed the full three points.

Fans were hoping to see him in action last week against Bournemouth, however a one match suspension delayed his long-awaited return to England.

Speaking about his debut, Pogba claims he feels good and is looking forward to improving.

“It was great. My first debut and we win,” he said.

“I am very happy coming back home, I hope to continue winning and getting better and better.

“I feel very good, at the end I was a little tired, but my legs feel good. I think the first 20 minutes we started slowly, but our quality showed after and that is what we can do.”

Pogba left for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012 after failing to agree a new contract with Sir Alex Ferguson and his return to Man United as one of the best midfielders in the world is a statement of intent by Jose Mourinho.

The Frenchman will play a vital role for Mourinho’s side this campaign and his showing against Southampton was only the start of his long-term future.

Mourinho’s side got off to back-to-back wins at the start of the campaign and the Portuguese boss looks set to take United back to their former glory days with his new signings in place.
