Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised Jose Mourinho’s signings at Manchester United this summer.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined the club earlier in the transfer window as they arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
Ibrahimovic has made a spectacular start to his career at Man United with four goals in his first four Premier League appearances, while Mkhitaryan has been mainly used as a substitute with Mourinho easing him into the side slowly.
Speaking about Man United’s business, Wenger claimed Mourinho was able to snap up the biggest names.
“You have to say Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic going to Manchester United are the biggest names, and apart from that you don’t have too many – yet,” he said.
“A few more will certainly come in and that’s why we find the transfer market from the beginning of August until August 31 is important.”
Man United have made some big statement signings this summer, with Paul Pogba joining for a world record fee and Eric Bailly making his mark on the side since arriving from Villarreal.
The Portuguese boss has guided his side to a perfect start to the season, winning all three of his Premier League games in charge.
His side will be truly tested after the international break as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who have also won all their games this campaign, will play at Old Trafford on September 10.
