Luke Shaw sat out training with the England squad ahead of Slovakia fixture

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw allegedly sat out training with the England squad on Saturday morning ahead of Sunday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

The 21-year-old had been included in Sam Allardyce’s squad, despite the fact that he spent a majority of the year on the sidelines with a broken leg.

He has not been named in the starting lineup, which was announced on Friday evening and has not played a part in training today.

Manchester Evening News claim he has not sustained an injury and will still be available on Sunday.

Shaw has started all three of Man United’s Premier League games this season under Jose Mourinho and has been in spectacular form.

His absence could be a concern for Allardyce, especially after only just coming out of a nine month injury, but it looks like there is no underlaying issue.

Allardyce will lead his England side out for the first time tomorrow after replacing Roy Hodgson after the Euro 2016 tournament and hopes are Shaw is fine for the Manchester Derby.
