Manchester United have continued their academy recruitment with the arrival of West Ham striker Idris Kanu.
The club are expected to take a closer look into Kanu as he started the Under-18s against Middlesbrough at Carrington on Saturday and scored twice in a 5-1 win.
He is extremely versatile and can play up front or in midfield, he was a member of West Ham’s academy last season, making 17 appearances and scoring twice.
Kanu is the latest youngster to join United’s youth academy as new academy chief Nicky Butt continues his revamp of the squad.
Butt has overseen the appointment of former Tottenham coach of McKenna and has brought in summer arrivals Tatith Chong and Joshua Bohui.
Kanu seriously impressed new coach McKenna against Middlesbrough and would be an excellent addition on our academy side as he looks set to land a permanent deal at Old Trafford.
