Man United fans blown away by Marcus Rashford’s England U21s debut

Marcus Rashford would have had every right to be a little frustrated at dropping back into England’s U21s after going to Euro 2016 with the senior squad, but he didn’t bat an eyelid.

The 18-year-old striker put in a fine performance against Norway’s U21s and marked his debut at that level the only way he knows how – by finding the back of the net.

But Rashford wasn’t even finished with one goal and went on to score a second with a looping shot (which may have taken a deflection) over the goalkeeper to give England a comfortable lead.

Incredibly, Rashford still wasn’t finished and he scored a third goal to seal a hat-trick on his England U21s debut.

Needless to say, United fans waxed lyrical about Rashford on Twitter after watching him play for England’s U21s:

United’s U18s player DJ Buffonge highlighted a very special achievement by Rashford as well:

United players Ashley Young, Angel Gomes and Zak Dearnley revelled in Rashford’s success too:

There’s nothing we haven’t already said about Rashford but to say he is one of best talents in the Premier League would be a massive understatement. In a week where England’s senior team struggled to break down Slovakia, Rashford danced around with a hat-trick in the U21s and his development curve has far from peaked yet.

United have had some great talents who’ve come through our academy doors in recent years and Rashford is certainly beginning to look like he’s got all the makings of becoming a genuine star for the club in the future. What a talent he is.
