Luke Shaw in doubt to face Feyenoord due to injury concerns

Luke Shaw a doubt for Manchester United’s game against Feyenoord on Thursday according to reports.

The defender came home early from international duty after being sent from England camp after concerns were raised about a potential injury.

He overcame those problems to play Manchester City on Saturday but is now a doubt for our trip to Holland on Thursday as our Europa League campaign gets underway and it’s believed that’s in order to give him the best possible chance of being fit for our next Premier League game away to Watford.

Manchester United’s squad is excellent this year but if there is one position I think we’ve got a reliance on an individual then it’s at left-back in Shaw. Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo are not good enough to operate as a full-back with the same tenacity and energy Shaw does both going forward and in defence.

I’d much rather we rested Shaw on Thursday and didn’t take a chance with him because the last thing we want to do is aggravate any injury problems or niggles. He’s been excellent since the start of the season and I’d love to see him go through the full season without any concerns.
