Luke Shaw has been in training with Manchester United ahead of the club’s Europa League fixture against Feyenoord on Thursday afternoon.
The Englishman picked up a slight injury in the Manchester derby and reports suggested he is unlikely to be risked in Thursday’s Europa League group opener.
He was sent home from Sam Allardyce’s England squad early, but he allegedly picked up a hamstring injury in the second-half of the derby.
Here are some pictures of him in training.
The game falls on September 15, which is the same date he had broken his leg in a challenge with PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno last year.
It would have been a step in his recovery and I’m sure he would have been hoping to put his injury behind him, but Mourinho will not want to risk him against Feyenoord.
There is plenty of squad depth and while the Portuguese boss does not have a direct replacement for Shaw, he will have to call on Marcos Rojo, who is primarily a central defender, but can play on the left.
