Jorge Mendes has told La Liga champions Barcelona Manchester United have first option to buy Bernardo Silva, according to reports.

Silva, who scored in Monaco’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, has been a long-term target of the Catalans.

However, the 22-year old’s agent has been clear that Man United have first option over the Monaco star.

The Portuguese agent, who happens to also be Jose Mourinho’s representative, has allegedly issued a warning to all clubs interested in Silva’s services.

Mendes has brokered deals for several players to United including the likes of David de Gea, Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao.

Although there are plenty of links from other clubs with his performances at Monaco impressing, United have still not registered any interest in him.

After losing back to back games at Man United, the midfield still doesn’t look quite settled even though Mourinho has plenty of talent at his disposal.

Just four games into the new season, he has already searched for options and will looking to solve his midfield issues.
