Man United train in car park ahead of Northampton game

Manchester United got an all important training session in ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Northampton Town…in a hotel car park.

Yes, you did read that right – in a hotel car park. Man United travelled down to Northampton and are staying in the Daventry Court hotel but to make sure the squad is in top shape, an impromptu session took place in the car park. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, United go and do this.

All jokes aside, tonight’s somewhat insignificant game on paper has now taken on an importance given we’ve lost three games in the space of a week and desperately need to get out of a rut we are in as a club, especially ahead of a tough match against reigning champions Leicester City.

Anything but a win and the baying press will pounce down on Man United and Jose Mourinho, so the players need to make sure that unnecessary and extra pressure doesn’t get anywhere near the team.

Northampton certainly won’t be a pushover seeing as they had a 30+ game unbeaten run prior to losing to Chesterfield last weekend, so they shouldn’t be underestimated but if we’re being honest United should turn up on the right and knock a few past them. That being said, United haven’t been following the script recently.
