Bastian Schweinsteiger has congratulated his Manchester United team-mates after their win over Northampton in the EFL Cup Third Round.
Despite not featuring once for Man United this season, Schweinsteiger is keeping up appearances whichever way he can.
Congratulations, guys! http://t.co/z1SUwjCfS6

He certainly isn’t keeping up appearances with the team in person; Schweinsteiger doesn’t train with the first-team and has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth since Jose Mourinho has arrived. There aren’t any pictures of him with his team-mates nor has he been spotted elsewhere – he’s very much a ghost right now.
But if there’s one thing Schweinsteiger does well then it is Twitter. When it comes to birthday messages he doesn’t miss a beat and he makes sure he keeps his rapport with the fans by sending out messages like this every so often. Twitter Fussball Meister.
In all seriousness, I’ve got no idea where Schweinsteiger is or what he is doing but in the mean time it looks like we’ve got a vastly overqualified German cheerleader on the sidelines.
