Manchester United players on international duty – where and when

by Leo Nieboer

Marcus Rashford could make his first competitive start in an England shirt against Malta at Wembley after being recalled to the senior side by Gareth Southgate in light of Harry Kane’s injury.

Wayne Rooney will continue to captain the Three Lions, whilst Jesse Lingard – called up to the national side for just the second time – could make his international debut.

Ander Herrera could make his first international appearance after being deservedly called up to the Spain side, and could come up against team-mate Matteo Darmian, who earned a surprise recall.

The Netherlands’ clash with France in Amsterdam promises to be an enticing encounter, with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial set to take on Daley Blind and Memphis Depay (also earning a surprise recall).
