Jurgen Klopp identifies three world class Manchester United players

Jurgen Klopp has identified Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba as three world-class players at Manchester United who he fears ahead of Monday’s clash.

While most Man United fans would probably disagree with Klopp over whether Rooney is world-class any more, there’s no doubting Ibrahimovic and Pogba’s qualities even if we are yet to see them in full flow this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp looked past Rooney’s current form and praised him, even if he felt he shouldn’t as Liverpool manager.

“I am manager of Liverpool FC so I know it is not allowed to like United players!” he said.

“Rooney is a goal scorer and a threat. A situation like this can happen in a long career. From my side, he’s a world-class player.”

Then speaking about Pogba and Ibrahimovic, Klopp added: “They are both world-class players, when they’re in your team they are not worst than last year, for sure.

“Unfortunately this is a really strong side from Manchester, they know about football, they’re experienced, cool in the right moments, they don’t need world-class performances to win a game.

“Even on rainy days, it’s possible to score and win but it doesn’t mean they will win the game. It just means they have a chance.”

Klopp is spot on with his analysis there because United are a really strong side. I rated our summer transfer window as 9/10 as our signings were spot on and I felt Jose Mourinho was the right man to steer us, it’s simply a matter of time before we click as a team as far as I am concerned.

We clicked in the first half against Leicester City and looked unstoppable and with players like Ibrahimovic and Pogba in our team, we can’t be written off and fans are all desperately hoping we really kick into top gear on Monday at Anfield ahead of such a crucial two week period.
