Manchester United fans were full of praise for Jesse Lingard in light of his performance against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old, deployed on the right hand side, was an effervescent force all evening, grabbing a goal and an assist against the Turkish side.
Supporters were quick to praise the Englishman for what was a sprightly performance.
Jesse Lingard is better than any youth player City have ever produced…

Memphis depay is shit, I'm on Lingard over him by a million miles!

Lingard and Martial aswell both excellent, terrific runs with Lingard roaming the final third, would probably start him on Sunday aswell.

An underrated aspect of Lingard’s game is, without doubt, his sumptuous link-up play. He is a far cry from your quintessential English player – the type that freezes when receiving the ball, often unable to sustain momentum going forward. Amid swathes of stagnancy present in this country’s current talent pool, he is a breath of fresh air, and his performance against Fenerbahce serves as a case in point.
The 23-year-old’s sheer energy driving forward, above anything else, is what hallmarks his unyielding approach. Everything he does – even small things like receiving the ball or returning a pass – is executed with an air of conviction, almost as if he is anxious to enthusiastically drive forward at every possible opportunity.
Such a mentality galvanises this United side, no doubt. And supporters will hope that the Englishman can add goalscoring prowess – as displayed this evening – to his catalogue of attributes in the coming months.
