Juan Mata produced a spectacular performance for Manchester United against Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Spaniard guided Jose Mourinho’s side out as captain and led by example as he dictated the game during his time on the pitch.
Supporters were left frustrated by Mourinho’s decision to substitute Mata in the second-half as he hadn’t placed a single foot wrong throughout the entire game.
Here’s a look at his stats for the match against Sean Dyche’s side.

It was brilliant to see Mata as captain today and his performance has put in a solid argument for him wearing the captain’s armband once again, with Wayne Rooney benched and Chris Smalling currently injured.
Mata was our best player on the pitch against Burnley and his substitution for Marouane Fellaini made no sense at all as he was linking up play beautifully and orchestrating the game – and if a goal would have come, it would have probably been through Mata.
Man United created plenty of chances and it’s disappointing to not come out of the game with three well-deserved points as Mourinho’s men are now eight points off the top of the Premier League table.
