Ander Herrera believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic will get back to scoring at Manchester United.
The big Swede has failed to score in his last six league matches, which is his worst scoring run since 2007.
He missed plenty of chances in United’s 0-0 draw at home against Burnley and fans have grown frustrated with his profligacy in front of goal.
Speaking about his teammate, Herrera claims he will bounce back in no time as one of the best strikers in the world.
“I think if one player can get back and pass this moment it’s him because of his attitude, his character, the way he works,” he said.
“I have no doubt he is going to score a lot of goals for us. But it is not only him – we have missed a lot of chances, not only him.
“He is giving us a lot of things for the team. Some of the chances we created came because of him, so we cannot tell him anything.
“We have to say that we have one of the best strikers in the world and his attitude, his character, is top.”
Man United had 37 shots against Burnley and the pressure continues to mount as Jose Mourinho’s side extend their winless run in the Premier League to four games.
He has looked out of it in recent times and despite Tom Heaton’s inspired performance, there were plenty of golden chances for the Swede to find the back of the net.
Hopes are he’s able to re-find his goalscoring touch as Mourinho looks to get the campaign back on the right track.
