Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann insists he’d love to play alongside Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba at the Calderon.
He revealed earlier in the week that he always keeps up to date with Pogba and life at Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho allegedly keen to bring the Frenchman to Manchester.
Following Pogba’s summer move to Man United, Griezmann has always had his back, even after he received heavy criticism for his showings earlier in the season.
When asked who he would love to have join him at Atletico, Griezmann said: “Alexandre Lacazette or Paul Pogba.
“I love how Alexandre plays and he’s a really good guy.
“The same for Paul – he’s a great player and a good mate. I hope to play with one of the two one day.”
Griezmann has been continuously linked with a move to Old Trafford, but until Diego Simeone remains Atletico manager, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be willing to leave.
It would be incredible to have him alongside Pogba at club level and there’s no doubt if he ever was to become available that all of Europe’s top club’s would be fighting for his services.
The Frenchman is allegedly at the top of Mourinho’s transfer list and if there’s one thing we’ve learnt from Mourinho’s first summer transfer window, it’s that he gets what he wants.
