Ander Herrera has been left waiting to make his senior Spain debut after not coming off the bench in their 4-0 win over Macedonia on Saturday but he’s enjoying simply being involved at this point.

Following Herrera’s form with Manchester United, Spain boss Julen Lopetegui called Herrera into the squad and he could well make his debut against England at Wembley which would be fitting for a player whose been in brilliant form under Jose Mourinho.

At a time where the commitment of so many players is being questioned by fans and critics alike, Herrera’s passion for Man United overspills in all the right ways and he’s built such a strong relationship with the fans because of that in a short space of time.

Herrera’s always got a smile on his face, that’s one reason why I love him. He’s just ace and seeing him get recognition at international level is something which is only going to drive Ander to improve even more at United.

Having been largely overlooked by Louis van Gaal it’s been a tough couple of years for Herrera but he’s now emerged as one of Mourinho’s key players and long may that continue.
