Manchester United fans were overawed by Antonio Valencia‘s performance during their side’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Ecuadorian, who was set to be sidelined for approximately six weeks, made a surprise return to the starting XI for the game with Arsene Wenger’s side.
And despite his spell on the sidelines, Valencia went for Arsenal’s jugular straight away, bombarding Nacho Monreal with a series of unstoppable bursts down the right hand side.
Man United fans were quick to heap praise on the 31-year-old.
Valencia's been Man Utd's best player in the first half. He has Monreal on toast. They need to get Martial on the ball more vs Jenkinson.

He rarely gets credit but, when he's played this season, Antonio Valencia has been magnificent.

Valencia was outstanding that half, just like he has been all season. The fans that don't rate him need their head's examined tbh #MUFC

Valencia superb today. Fractures his arm and is the best player on the pitch on his first game back. Pogba playing well also.

I’m starting to get the impression that Valencia is not actually fully human.
His level of performance is essentially the same every week: powerful, dedicated, disciplined and efficient, executed with the same emotionless glare. His energy levels never seem to drop. He could play for 180 minutes and not encounter even the slightest wilt in momentum. He breaks his arm and, three weeks later, he’s back amongst it, charging at Arsenal’s back four from right back all afternoon.
Now that I think about it, this is a man more akin to a robot, and United fans will be delighted to see him back so soon after undergoing surgery.
