Henrikh Mkhitaryan: This is how I feel after starting for Manchester United

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was delighted to start for Manchester United in their 4-0 victory over Feyenoord on Thursday night.

The Armenian hadn’t featured since the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City back in September and supporters were growing frustrated with his exclusion from Jose Mourinho’s matchday squads.

However, he took the opportunity with both hands and was one of the best players on the pitch, constantly getting the ball forward, creating chances, making runs and I can’t wait to see more of him.

Speaking after the game, he claimed it had been difficult to watch the rest of the team from the sidelines.

“It was a pleasure to start the game, I played my best and I’m very happy with the win,” he said.

“It was difficult to watch the team from the sidelines.”

Mkhitaryan would have undoubtedly impressed Mourinho as he was brilliant throughout the entire game and injected a serious attacking threat to the side.

To say he’s been frozen out at Old Trafford, Mkhitaryan produced an incredibly confident display, running in between defenders and opening play with ease.

He has proven that he has plenty to offer and hopes are Mourinho continues to play him once West Ham come knocking at Old Trafford over the weekend.
