Kieran O’Hara joins Manchester United first team for training

Jose Mourinho included Kieran O’Hara in Manchester United first-team training ahead of our Europa League clash with Feyenoord.

In the absence of Sergio Romero, Mourinho saw fit to promote U23s goalkeeper O’Hara to join in with the senior squad.

Having spent time on loan at Morecambe and Stockport County last season, O’Hara was elevated into our U23s team despite only playing for our U18s three times as Johnstone became part of the first-team squad.

It’s a case of being in the right place at the right time for O’Hara having had such little playing time with the club through the lower levels but he’s earned some stripes on loan at Morecambe and Stockport, so this is the next big step in his career. Well done to him.

O’Hara is unlikely to be included in the matchday squad against Feyenoord unless there is an injury to either David de Gea or Johnstone but there will no doubt be a positive mental impact on him after being included with the first-team.
